the_gendermanI learned recently that there's a new Dragonriders of Pern novel out, Dragon's Code, by Gigi McCaffrey (Anne's daughter? I haven't done much research yet), and gosh, I hope it's better than Todd's novels. Like, he had some great concepts, but I just don't think he did a great job of writing them.
I put in a library hold this afternoon. Hopefully I'll have finished The Crystal Shard by the time it arrives, so I won't have to try to finish one fandom while getting ready to immediately start reading another. (And then once I finish Dragon's Code, I'll put in a hold on whatever the next title in the Forgotten Realms series is.)
