Animal Quest
Dec. 24th, 2018 12:12 pmFor starters, if you are unfamiliar, Animal Quest is/was an early 1990s DOS computer game that revolved around the food chain/web. You played as an animal, tried to eat your prey, and not get eaten by your predators (or let your predators eat all the prey you wanted to eat). Once you got enough points, you obtained the ability to move diagonally, allowing you to more easily escape predators or sneak up on prey.
So of course, one of my favorite stupid things to do in Animal Quest was, once I got diagonal mode, was to sneak up on prey that did in no way require sneaking. Because it couldn't move. Like eggs. Or acorns. Gotta sneak up on those eggs, don't want them running away. XD
Also, if anyone would like to play Animal Quest, https://archive.org/details/AnimalQuestV2.02SW1993AliveSoftwareStrategy
The Ocean and Jungle modes aren't available in the demo version (I haven't been able to find a non-demo version anywhere anymore), but Forest is pretty fun. IMO.
