Ah, I missed this. The sheer chaos of going off on a tangent that no one expected that ended up with way too many "roll deception"s ... within our own party.
Villager: "Someone has murdered Petunia!*" (*Petunia is a goat)
Exzune: "We'll get to the bottom of this. I think it was lions."
*Daar and Mark go outside*
Mark: *looks at half-eaten, half-acid-melted goat* "Daar, did you eat this goat?"
Daar: "No."
DM: "Roll deception."
Daar: *fails deception check* "It was lions."
Mark: "Yeah. Acid lions. Why did you eat their goat?!"
----------
And then, later on, Ears is talking about how he ended up in Krezk and mentions a werewolf attacking the town. Mark, whose father was abducted (?) by werewolves, asks Ears about said werewolf. Exzune immediately took the opportunity, while Mark was distracted, to try to release a humanoid spider-bat creature from where it had been chained up. We're not sure why it was chained up, other than probably because it's a humanoid spider-bat and mildly terrifying. Like, Island of Doctor Moreau levels of "this is an abomination against nature."
